Exciting!!

Things around here have been so crazy around here with my second job and things going on around the house, but I finally found a moment to write a new blog!

So there's been quite a few updates since my last blog, so I'm either going to overload you with information! or split it into two blogs, we'll see ;)!

So for starters, we've finally decided on wedding favours!! We decided that we'd really like to support our local community and so we've teamed up with Clovermead Apiaries here in Aylmer and got honey favours for an incredible price!

And also we've decided on our photographer who we'll be meeting with towards the end of this month (I'm SUPER pumped for this!). We've chosen to go with Matt Goodale (http://www.mattgphoto.ca/?page_id=851) who has an awesome portfolio and a great price!

We've also booked our officiant, a very friendly man with a great reputation, and decided on our invitations (special shout out to Mum for those btw!) and decided who we want to do our cake! http://www.everyoccasioncakes.com/ Please check out her cakes they are incredible!!

Tired

So I'm definetly tired of looking for photographers. Think I might take a break from looking for now, or let Corey do the searching haha.
As for the honeymoon, we've decided to wait a year to save up and go to ST.Lucia!

Just to make sure 100% that we have the funds :). We have decided to go on a "mini" honeymoon right after the wedding, just to a nice, quite B&B or to the Falls. So I'm pretty excited!!
And I'm hoping to go to Michaels soon and look into making our own invitations! We've pretty much been planning to make our own invites since day 1, so I'm thinking of having a bunch of people over to help and have some wine and food! So if you want to come over and have some laughs and help out a little let me know! :)
I've also been looking at a lot of different bridal hairstyles and I'm super pumped about it! I've definitely decided that I want LOTS of curls! I might even dye my hair a darker colour! = O! lol
Any ways, I'm out for the day (still doing my blogs from the living room floor).

Slow week

Hey everyone. So my wonderful fiance decided to restore my laptop to make it faster (yay!) but now it's not working -.-'
So wedding plans are going to be few and far between since I'd rather not have to sit on the floor to use the computer haha.I HAVE figured out the wedding band that I'll be getting Corey! It's encoded in binary (which yes, he can read) which will be encoded in a personal message from me that only the two of us will know about!

And I've also decided on my garter!! (you guys are going to have to wait for the wedding for that though ;) hahaha). We're still not sure which direction we're taking with photographers, so if you know someone who:
1. Takes BEAUTIFUL shots and has done weddings before
2. Has a professional portfolio we can look at (preferably on-line so that we don't have to meet with 100 photographers)
3. Isn't going to charge us up the wahoo!!

Plans!

Me and my boyfriend just got engaged on March 6th and plans are already in motion for the wedding!
I thought it would be a great idea to post all of our ideas and wedding related experiences to keep everyone updated and me more organized!
So far we've put a deposit for our venue (a beautiful estate! If you want to see the site please ask me and I'll hook you up!) and booked their exclusive caterers (very wonderful and professional!).

              I've also purchased my dress!! Let me know what you think!
 And picked a theme, we'll be doing a halloween/fall themed wedding since it's our favourite holiday and season! There's going to be a lot of miniature pumpkins used as decorations as well as fall leaves.
I am a little stumped about how I'm going to show my theme through my dress as I purchased it BEFORE deciding on a them (kicking my own butt for that one I'm telling ya). So if you have ideas please let me know!!
